Long Island Breastfeeding provides private breastfeeding classes to expecting moms and their support person(s). We can arrange the class according to your specific needs, goals, and circumstances. In our private class we cover every aspect of breastfeeding from start to finish.
Oftentimes, parents have questions unrelated to breastfeeding but related to being prepared for a new baby! We are happy to assist you in creating your registry (sharing which baby products most babies and families like), what questions to ask potential pediatricians, and how to care for your infant.

WHY IS THERE SUCH HIGH-DEMAND TO WORK WITH A LONG ISLAND BREASTFEEDING PROFESSIONAL?
Because Long Island Breastfeeding does not believe in ‘one-size fits all’ care and everything we do is evidence-based and individualized, our clients feel they have every tool available to them (which they do!) combined with the highest level of support and the least amount of judgment.
Our approach considers your specific situation and resources, and combines that with evidence-based care. We then incorporate YOUR family’s particular needs and wants, ultimately meeting YOUR definition of success.
BREASTFEEDING HELP DURING PREGNANCY?!
YES! Even though breastfeeding is natural, it is not always easy. Hospitals and pediatricians are not always certified in lactation; many mothers are surprised to learn that their doctors, while supportive of breastfeeding, do not know how to be supportive of Breastfeeding Management. Taking a breastfeeding course while pregnant, and aligning your support system, before baby arrives can make all the difference!
WHEN SHOULD I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
It depends on the service, but the sooner the better! Long Island Breastfeeding sees women at any gestation or at any time after delivery.
